Our Story

The Voice of an Ancient People

Suryoyo Sat was born from a simple conviction: the Syriac-Aramean people deserve a media platform that speaks their languages, celebrates their culture, and connects their scattered community across the world.

Mission

Why We Exist

Suryoyo Sat is an Aramaic-language television channel by and for the Syriac-Aramean people, founded in Sweden in 2006. Today it reaches more than 80 countries by satellite and online, broadcasting mainly in Aramaic (Turoyo) and also in Arabic, German, English, Swedish and Dutch.

Suryoyo Sat is not a private channel. It is organised openly by registered Aramean organisations and run by Arameans who live, grew up or were born in Europe, under European law and standards. Our board and staff, paid and volunteer, work on a democratic basis with a transparent structure. The channel is funded first and foremost by viewers' memberships and donations.

Suryoyo Sat connects Arameans directly with each other, in the homeland and in the diaspora. We do not represent any political party, church denomination or state interest: our loyalty is to our community and to the truth.

Our Values

What We Stand For

Independence

We are funded by our community and answer only to truth and journalistic integrity.

Preservation

Language, culture, and identity are fragile. We work daily to keep the Aramean heritage alive.

Unity

Beyond borders, politics, and denominations, we speak to all Syriac-Arameans.
